Happenings in February

Besides Valentines Day and I-Man's Birthday Party we were sick for the majority of the month of February.  However I did manage a few pictures in between.

I-Man representing his Middle School in Academic Jeopardy at Vail Pride Day.

Mr. Mr. hiding under the umbrella with J-Man at I-Man's soccer game.

This is how we spent most of the month, in the doctor's office or at home sick.

J-Man may look happy but he has an ear infection like the rest of us.

What do you do with little kids during soccer practice on a cold night?

Go to the indoor playground at the mall.

They can run around and play

and be goofy

for an hour and a half

and no one complains that they are cold.

Genius!

I-Man's World Cup Soccer Birthday Party

I-Man is officially a teenager, 13 years of age.

I-Man invited about 30 kids and 27 showed

They played all afternoon and into the evening

Pizza, Hotwings and Nacho's were the food of choice.
The night ended with fireworks in the cul-de-sac.

Happy Birthday I-Man

Snow for Valentines Day

We were playing inside the house and we heard a loud thumping noise.
We looked out the window and saw that it was hailing.
This is a rare occurance in the Sonoran Desert.
Hail Stone on the turf.

Hail Stones by the pool fence

And then it Hailed even harder

And the tempurature dropped

hail stones up close

And then it snowed for about 1 hour

We had enough snow to build a snowman

And throw snowballs

And eat snow

Mr. Mr. wasn't sure about the snow

Bouba liked the snow too..

We had enough snow to build three snowmen.

Bouba in the snow

I was soaked head to toe from playing in the snow

I-Man came home from school before all the snow melted.
He made a tunnell with the snow from the three snowmen.

Tunnels are fun

Snow Tunnel

J-Man in the tunnel

Mr.Mr. made it through the tunnel

I- Man stuck in the tunnel

J.S.  - joins in the snowball fight

A big slushy mess

Mr. Mr. in pitcher stance

We got snow for Valentine's Day and it was awesome.

Spring Has Sprung

I planted an apple tree on the slope in the backyard two weeks previous to these pictures.

And we woke up one morning to apple blossoms.

We sang "Popcorn Popping" all day long.

Beautiful and.... "they smell so sweet."

Pajama Dance Party

While Noure and I-Man were away at soccer games in Phoenix,
J-Man and Mr. Mr. wanted to do something fun before bed.
So I turned on the kids party CD and they started to dance.
Running around in circles.

Kicking one leg in the air.

Follow the leader

Hands behind his back
Mr. Mr. coming back

Touch your toes

Stand on your head

"Too Cool" pose

Monster hook hand

Yoga

Yoga & Somersault

Frog jump

Hop around and Downward Facing Dog

Running in circles, again.

Everyone got a good nights sleep that night.
