Spring Cleaning Continues!

Can sanitizing the toys in my home improve my health?

I hope so!

I have been sick, off and on since January and I wish to be well. 

So I took action and decided to sanitize all of the toys in the house.

This is no small feat, we have an entire linen closet

dedicated to toys and games

.

It took me four hours of sanitizing and organizing

I feel heathier already.

Freshly Squeezed!

What is so great about freshly squeezed juice?

I think it may be all the hard work before you get to drink it

that makes it taste so good.

J-Man has been asking me for the

past two months if he can make his own juice.

I have been reluctant because of the

impending mess I would be cleaning up,

however on a trip to the grocery store we found this orange juicer.

So I bought the juicer and a bag of oranges

I sliced the oranges in half and let J-Man go for it.

He twisted and sqeezed and got frustrated

and had help from me and I-Man

There was a lot of pulp on the top of the strainer,

but we prevailed and yielded about

8 oz of juice from two large oranges

M: Does it taste good?

J: Yeah!

J-Man has made himself a glass of OJ every morning this week,

and he hasn't wasted one drop.

Blustery Day Activities!

What do you do with a house full of kids on a blustery day?

First we started out with spring cleaning,
we cleaned out the drawers and closets

and got rid of clothing and shoes that did not fit.

Then, we watched the movie Nanny McFee Returns.

Then the boys were up to their own devices,
and I was pleasantly surprised by their choices.

A Discussion on Whales

And Sharks. 

The Book Sea Creatures and a search on the google

helped resolve the argument that whales eat sharks and sharks eat whales. 

I-Man found a video of a shark eating a dead whale, Yuck!

Drawing game of "What Next." 

They started with a dog in the center of the page.

The dog is eating an alien spacecraft,

 which is above the ocean with a pirana,

Nanny McFee is flying on top of the page,

eating ice cream.... and so on and so forth. 

It took about an hour to complete.

Finally, What started out as blowing some bubbles for Mr.Mr.

turned into blowing bubbles with our hands

Bubbles are beautiful.  Pop!

I am so happy they played together for the majority of the day

and genuinly enjoyed each others company.

Cupcake Boys

J-Man, Mr.Mr. and I-Man worked together to make

Chocolate Cupcakes

Pour in the Cake Mix, Water and Eggs

Blend it together

Scrape the sides

J-Man is happy for cupcakes

ready to bake

Fresh from the Oven

Chocolate Cupcakes are the Best.

We put frosting on them and pretended that we were judges on

The Food Network and ate them little tiny bites at a time, with a fork.

For The Love of Cleats

Can a new pair of cleats make you a better player?

I-Man is convinced.

The only thing he wanted for his birthday was a new pair of cleats.

 Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly  3's

These are hard to come by for the price we were willing to pay.

It took about a month of dissapointment before USPS rang the door bell.

Noure made I-Man wait until he got home from work to open the box.

And then he made him sweat a little longer while trying to decipher

the Chinese characters on the mailing slip.

I-Man's first reaction, "They are the real ones."

He tried them on and he has a little room to grow.

Do new cleats make for a better player? 

 I guess we will find out this weekend in the

AZ President's Cup Tournament.

Redneck Roots

Monster Jam came to town and I took J-Man

Of course we all cheered.

Monster Jam is an eye opening experience

"Batman" on his way out and "Monster Mutt" on his way into the arena.

Although J-Man was dissapointed that he didn't get to

drive a monster truck he had a great time. 

 It is great to let your redneck roots out once in a while.

Happenings in February

Besides Valentines Day and I-Man's Birthday Party we were sick for the majority of the month of February.  However I did manage a few pictures in between.

This is how we spent most of the month, in the doctor's office or at home sick.

J-Man may look happy but he has an ear infection like the rest of us.

What do you do with little kids during soccer practice on a cold night?

Go to the indoor playground at the mall.

They can run around and play

and be goofy

for an hour and a half

and no one complains that they are cold.

Genius!
